AgTEC Program Celebrates First Graduations

Congratulations to the first graduating cohorts of AgTEC students from Coalinga College and Reedley College! These students are among the first in the Central Valley to complete the Ag Systems Certificate - an innovative, competency-based program designed to equip adult learners and farmworkers with the skills needed for today’s evolving ag industry. Over the past eight months, graduates gained hands-on knowledge in topics like plant and animal science, digital literacy, workplace communication, equipment operation, and food safety.

"It taught me about resilience, responsibility, and the importance of caring for the land," said Ana Garcia, AgTEC student at Coalinga College. "It helped me grow, not only as a student, but as a person. Looking ahead, I plan to continue learning. This certificate is not the end, it is just the beginning. I want to take full advantage of every course, every opportunity... to improve not only my quality of life, but also to contribute to a better, more sustainable future for my community."

Offered at seven local community colleges, the Ag Systems Certificate is part of the F3 Initiative’s broader mission to build a more resilient, skilled, and inclusive agricultural workforce. We’re proud of each graduate and can’t wait to see what they accomplish next!
