Central Valley Flavor Fest: Featuring Jujubes

F3 Local is excited to announce the first-ever Central Valley Flavor Fest, set to take place on Tuesday, October 22 from 5:00 – 9:00 PM at the River Park Farmers Market in north Fresno. This event is dedicated to highlighting specialty foods from the Central Valley, with this year’s spotlight on the jujube fruit. Organized in partnership with University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR) and the F3 Initiative, the Central Valley Flavor Fest is a celebration of locally grown produce, showcasing the region’s agricultural diversity.

Attendees will have the opportunity to sample free jujube treats created by local chefs and artisans, including ice cream, pies, and baked goods. Jujube fruits, known for their crisp sweetness and rich vitamin content, are culturally significant and locally sourced, making them a perfect symbol of the Valley’s unique bounty.

Here is a list of local vendors who are participating in this year's event with special jujube-related offerings:

  • Ampersand Ice Cream

  • De La Luz Antojitos (Cultiva La Salud)

  • Food-Preneur Network

  • Fruta Fresca Adelita (Cultiva La Salud)

  • Pie Mamas

  • Snow Cone Don Pica (Cultiva La Salud)

  • Tamales y Antojitos La Promesa (Cultiva La Salud)

  • Tasty Morsels Bakery

  • Wake Me Up Farms

This year’s event is just the beginning, as F3 Local hopes to replicate the Flavor Fest annually, continuing to highlight the vibrant flavors of the Central Valley’s agricultural landscape. Join us for a taste of something special and help us celebrate the richness of local food!
