Connecting farmers to markets is key to building a strong local food system. On February 26, 2026 at the Farmer/Buyer Mixer, hosted by Community Alliance with Family Farmers (CAFF) with support from F3 Local, small farmers from across the Central Valley came together with regional buyers to build relationships, talk through seasonal needs, and create sales opportunities for their businesses.

Held at Sweet Valley Produce as part of the California Small Farm Conference, this event brought the theme of “Digging in Together” to life by turning connection into action.

Hear from the following interviewees on why market access matters and how opportunities like this can help local farmers thrive:

  • Jeanette Garnica, Community Alliance with Family Farmers (CAFF)

  • Miguel Avendaño Reyes, Siembra y Cosecha Farm (Farmer)

  • Victoria Quach, Daylight Foods (Buyer)
