AgTEC Workforce Program Featured on Telemundo

The AgTEC Workforce Initiative, offered in partnership with six community colleges across the Central Valley, was highlighted in a segment on Telemundo Fresno on September 17, 2025.

“The goal is to provide farmworkers with tools so they can thrive in the agricultural environment,” said Teodoro García, AgTEC program advisor at Fresno City College.

The story showcases how the program is offering free, flexible, bilingual (English/Spanish) training designed to help agricultural workers gain new skills and advance their careers. The story emphasized the program’s focus on core competencies, including digital literacy, equipment operation, and crop‑production systems—skills that position workers for upward mobility and greater job security in a rapidly changing ag‑tech landscape.

This media exposure is a strong recognition of our mission to ensure that Central Valley’s farmworkers are included, supported, and able to thrive as the ag industry evolves. We thank Telemundo, our partner colleges, and all the AgTEC students and staff for being part of this important conversation.
