F3i TerraTech Summer Internship Opportunity

F3 Innovate is now accepting applications for TerraTech26, a paid summer internship program that gives students the opportunity to work on real-world projects shaping the future of food and agriculture. Designed for both undergraduate and graduate students, this eight-week program connects participants with companies, startups, nonprofits, and public partners across California’s Central Valley. From AI and data science to robotics, sustainability, and food systems, TerraTech offers hands-on experience tackling the challenges and opportunities defining agriculture today.

Running from June 1 to August 7, 2026, TerraTech places interns directly within industry partner organizations, where they contribute to meaningful, project-based work. Interns also receive professional mentorship from industry leaders and technical teams, along with training in workplace skills, communication, and safety. The program is open to students from all majors and backgrounds, including those without prior experience in agriculture, making it an accessible entry point into the ag and food innovation space.

Participants consistently highlight the value of working on collaborative teams and gaining exposure to career paths they may not have previously considered. As one intern shared, the experience provided insight into how each role contributes to a larger project, while another noted that the program helped build confidence in professional communication and navigating the workplace. For many, TerraTech opens the door to new possibilities in agriculture, technology, and sustainability.

With a commitment of 30 hours per week over eight weeks, interns earn $20 per hour while building skills, expanding their networks, and contributing to solutions that support a more resilient food system. Students may also have the option to receive university credit. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis through May 1, 2026.
