On Friday, April 4, Cultiva La Salud—an F3 Local partner—hosted its first Fiesta Friday event in honor of Cesar Chavez Day at the future site of the Cultiva Community Kitchen in Central Fresno. Located at 620 N. Fresno Street, the parking lot of the kitchen site transformed into a vibrant gathering place filled with delicious food, music, and community. The event was both a celebration of Chavez’s legacy and a show of support for local entrepreneurs working hard to build thriving street food businesses.
Dozens of community members came out to enjoy the evening, connecting with neighbors, and enjoying incredible food made by local vendors—many of whom will eventually use the new commercial kitchen space once construction is complete. The kitchen, funded in part by the F3 Initiative, will be a critical hub for mobile food vendors, providing a health-permitted, fully equipped space to prepare food and grow their businesses.
The evening was a celebration of culture, strength, and shared purpose—and a meaningful step forward in creating opportunities for small food businesses in underserved communities. With events like Fiesta Friday, Cultiva La Salud is showing what’s possible when we invest in local vendors and create space for community-driven entrepreneurship.
More Fiesta Friday events are expected in the coming months, weather permitting. Stay tuned by following Cultiva La Salud on Facebook or visiting the F3 calendar to find out when the next event will take place. Thank you to everyone who made the night special by showing up, enjoying the food, and helping cultivate a future where small businesses and community connections thrive.
